This blog was originally created after we moved away from family & friends to keep them posted... then I was convinced to sign on to Facebook: ) However there's still some of my friends & relatives not on FB so I thought I'd go back to this route to blog our current journey for them to follow... along with many strangers to whom I hope this will help.

Easter

"What's This?!"

We drove up to Leduc Friday afternoon and spent most of the weekend at Auntie Eva's house. Saturday evening we met up with 'Uncle' Kevin, 'Auntie' Helen & my buddy Logan (from BC). They were in Edmonton visiting family over the weekend so we surprised Auntie Helen when we showed up.
Sunday morning we went to Church and then had a nice Easter Dinner witht he Friesen Family.

I'm sure loving all this chocolate!

Banff Weekend

We went to a Bed & Breakfast in Banff with Derek & Tamara for a weekend getaway. After settling in Friday evening, we just relaxed and enjoyed each others company. Derek & Daddy spent Saturday Skiiing while Tamara, Mommy & Me strolled around Banff.

Daddy & Derek both came back with an injury, thankfully it wasn't anything serious. Daddy sprained his thumb slightly on the first run of the day and Derek had to get 5stitches in his leg from falling on his ski.
We left the B & B late Sunday morning and then went to Johnston Canyon for a 1/2mile hike before going back home.

"OH NO! My mitten flew over the edge!"...

...and I wanted it back!

My 2nd Birthday

Go Diego Go! That was the theme of my 2nd Birthday. Mommy decorated these cupcakes, not bad for her first time!
Mommy had decorations everywhere

Grandma & Grandpa Wall flew out for the weekend to be a part of my Birthday Celebration - how nice was that.

Mommy getting things ready for my Party...let the celebration begin!

The Guests at the Party;

Grandma, Tamara...

Cindy, Josh & Gord

Tania & Mason

Ken, Uton (Masons Dad) & Grandpa

Gord, Josh & Derek

Happy Birthday to me! I looked around at everyone when they sang. For a few days after my party I would sing Happy Birthday when I saw cake or my birthday cards.

Horray!

Mmmm Birthday cake!

Gords Birthday is a day after Keigans so we had a little surprise Birthday cake for him too

Presents! Mason enjoyed this too.

Time to Play!

Surprise Birthday

My Mommy had a long stop over Winnipeg for work so Daddy & Me flew out to meet her. We spent Friday evening at the hotel with Mommy and then all drove out to Grandma & Grandpa Walls the next day. My Auntie Nancy threw a Surprise Birthday Party for me! She went thru way to much trouble but it was very nice of her.
She had a car theme party and re-designed the cake to match the other decorations.

Pizza for supper...

...cake for dessert

Always having fun with my cousins.

Hawaii

Aloha! Here are a lot of pictures of my family vacation to Hawaii. We landed into Kahului, Maui around 1030pm so it was quite late by the time we got to our hotel in Kaanapali - it's about 45mns from the airport, west side of Maui Island.

We toured our hotel the next morning. This is the hotel entrance. Aloha on one side...

...and this on the other side.

Here we are!

This is our 'garden view room' - what a bonus it was to see the ocean too!

Our first morning there I had no problem standing on the beach...

...or playing in the sand...

...or even going into the ocean!

I loved it! But that was the only time because after that I had issues with the sand - "oh no, a mess"

There were even fishies for me to watch at our resort!

Enjoying breakfast on the lanai

Pool time fun!

I didn't mind relaxing after a big swim in the pool...

...especially the day mommy & daddy let me watch my DVD! (welcome to the 20th century way of vacationing!)

Family snapshot at the Luau! (as you can tell I'm not big on posing)

My favorite part was the man dancing with the fire.

After breakfast on our last morning there, my parents attempted one last time to get a fun beach pose but I was still being difficult. I didn't like the feel of sand at all.

After checking out of the hotel, we started our day of sight seeing. I fell asleep while my parents took in some sights down west Maui. I woke up when we arrived in Maalaea to see the Maui Ocean Center...

There are lots and lots of fishies to see here!

I loved exploring thru it all!

Do I have tourist written all over?

I was actually the tourist guide - "this way...

...that way!"

There were fishies all around us!

I had no problem going in the tunnel until I reached the glass bottom floor and when I saw a shark I got scared.

I really am in Nemo's World!

After lunch we took in some more sights - or my parents did anyway. I was ready for my afternoon nap. My parents drove down to South Maui...

...and then drove towards Haleakala National Park - a volcano attraction. If you make it to the top, you're approx 10,000ft above sea level but we only made it half way up. I woke up from my nap and my parents knew I wouldn't last much longer in the car. It took almost 2hrs to make it up half way because its a long and windy road up the mountain. On the way down my mummy wasn't feeling well because of all the twists and turns and ended up getting sick when we made it back into Kahului. We had supper before going to the airport to catch our late flight back home - back to reality!
